Gede was not born into an artists family. He discovered art at a young age and it became his obsession. Later, his parents pushed him to be an engineer, but he went against their wishes to major in art at the Indonesia Institute of Fine Art. His passion directed him to creating his own unique style that has been praised by critics and galleries across Indonesia Singapore Malaysia and Dubai.
